Gah - not sure what that sooper-slo-mo bit is near the end. I'll try to fix it.

Update: new versions now uploaded. This fixes both the weird slo-mo sound at around 25 minutes, and a stereo glitch near the start (yes, the larger version is stereo - but still better compressed than the first podcast)

Happy Birthday Virtual Acorn, but I really hope that you'll get round to sending me an unlock code so I can actually use it. It's quite annoying when you go to use it for some work, and it says you are locked out, and then you find that the company is closed over the weekend until 10am monday. :|

It's an old story. I buy lots of CDs and games and DVDs - but often end up looking for Teh Warez of the same item just so I can use it.

"I've installed Red Squirrel, the earlier release of Virtual Acorn, on my laptop before. Whilst I probably wouldn't want to use it for any length of time as my main machine, it certainly scratches that itch when I'm away on business or something. But then again, so does a prodigious amount of porn."

I'd like to see VA using that quote as part of their advertising campaign.

Incidentally, there's a whole wealth of potential material on that Acorn News Update thingy. A bit of playing with only the first part had some quite funny results, I found.

I just wish I had time to play properly.

Does anyone know if Virtual Acorn are actually trading still? I get no response to emails, and the phone just tells me the office hours even though it is office hours.
It is four days I have been locked out of RISC OS. I'm glad real Risc PCs don't have random locking protection on them.

That would be Mr. Monkeyson's Acorn mashup? Yes, most funny. Certainly raises the bar for Vince when he does one ;)
